Press photography and photo-journalism

Currently the NCTJ accredits one press photography and two photojournalism courses. Press photography students complete five core study units: general photographic knowledge; law for photographers; photographic practice; portfolio; and caption writing for press photographers. Photojournalism students complete the same core study units as press photographers with the exception of caption writing, which is replaced by news writing for photojournalists.
